Joseph Reginald ‘Reggie’ Greenwell, 73, Bardstown

Joseph Reginald “Reggie” Greenwell, 73, of Bardstown, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his residence. He was born Oct. 26, 1938, in New Haven and was part owner of Dean’s Milk Distributors. He worked part time for Boone’s Butcher Shop. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran as a radar operator, a member of Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, American Legion Post 121, and Flaget Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gonza and Inez Greenwell; three brothers, Robert Donald Greenwell, Joseph Gonza Greenwell and James Noel Greenwell; and three sisters, Janice Bailey, Wanda Donaghy and Carol Hall Isaac.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Greenwell of Bardstown; one son, Michael Greenwell and his wife Marion Greenwell of Jeffersonville, Ind.; one daughter, Connie Hardie and her husband Todd Hardie of Bardstown; one sister, Mary Lois Harned of New Haven; one brother; James Richard Greenwell of Kansas City, Kansas; one granddaughter, Brittney Bowling of Jeffersonville, Ind.; one great-grandson, Ethan Shewmaker of Jeffersonville, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Joe Batcheldor will officiate.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, and 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barlow Funeral Home.
