Firefighters called to smoking car on North Third St. downtown
Saturday, June 16, 2012, 5:35 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the street in front of Sugar Buzz, 111 North Third St., for a possible vehicle fire about 5:10 Saturday afternoon. A firefighter who arrived on scene reported light smoke coming from the vehicle’s engine compartment. The fire department check the vehicle to be sure the source of the fire was out and it was safe to tow for repairs. The fire appeared to be some sort of electrical issue, and the battery was disconnected. Firefighters were on scene for about 20 minutes.
