CHRISTINE BARNES LEAKE
Christine Barnes Leake, 81, of Deltona, Fla., formerly of Bardstown, died Wednesday Aug. 27, 2014, at her home. She was born July 26, 1933, in Bardstown. She was a former employee of Burroughs and a member of Boston Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Witt and Daisy Vittitow.
She is survived by four daughters, Lynnette Bickett of Deltona, Fla., Peggy Sheridan of Conroe, Texas, Gayle Anderson of Ingleside, Ill., and Belinda Morrison of Grand Island, Fla.; one son, Edsel Barnes Jr. of LaGrange; one sister, Martha Vittitow of Bardstown;
13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 6, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Boston Christian Church Cemetery. Pastor Mike Bradford will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at the funeral home.
The family is asking all visitors to bring a family portrait with the relationship to Christine and address on the back of the photo for a memorial book.
Memorial contributions may go to American Cancer Society.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
