(VISTATION CORRECTED) Cliddie Cestis McKinney, 76, of Bardstown, died Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He was born July 19, 1938, in Taylorsville to the late William Everett and Mary Elizabeth Stevens McKinney. He was a former engineer for the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center. He was a gospel songwriter and a member of the Redemption Point Church of God at Springfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Mike Chesser.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Lewis McKinney; one daughter, Betty (Charlie) Greenwell of Bardstown; three sons, Curtis (Judy Prather) McKinney of Louisville, Bruce (Dianne) Chesser and David Chesser, both of Bardstown; four sisters, Imogene Mobley, Gracie (Arthur Ray) Cook, Annie Whitaker, all of Taylorsville, and Bonnie (Larry) Runner of Louisville; three brothers, Elwood (Rubel) McKinney of Lawrenceburg, William (Mary) McKinney of Taylorsville, and Burnice (Juanita) McKinney of Cox’s Creek; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the Bardstown Church of God with Bro. Bill Adams and Bro. Jeremy Thompson officiating. Burial is in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bardstown Church of God.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
