DAVID ALLEN THOMAS

David Allen Thomas, 59, of Lebanon, formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. He was born Feb. 6, 1956, in Marion County. He was the owner and operator of Thomas & Sons Trucking Company in Lebanon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Louise Thomas; his parents, James Maurice Thomas Sr. and the former Mary Evelyn Allen; and one brother, Jimmy Thomas.

Survivors include two sons, Cory Thomas of Lebanon and Jordan Thomas of Louisville; two sisters, Phyllis Troutman of Raywick and Mary Kay Bland (Perry) of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Chase Thomas and Preslie Thomas; a special caregiver, Tammy Nalley of Lebanon.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ben Brown will officiate.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Sr. Mary Lois Speaks.

Pallbearers are Steve Leake, Adolph Williams, Jude Leake, Ronnie Mattingly, Dan Young, Butch Cecil, Larry Wheatley and Stuart Thomas.

Employees of Thomas & Sons Trucking, Thomas & Young LLC and Custom Ag Services will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
