Vinyl fire prompts fire department response to TBKY Friday evening

Saturday, May 9, 2015, 12:40 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm at TBKY, 1051 Withrow Court Friday evening at 10:34 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find the manufacturing plant partly evacuated. According to the incident commander, some vinyl in the building had caught fire. Employees extinguished the fire with a dry extinguisher before firefighters arrived on the scene. Fire crews stayed on the scene to help ventilate the building and reset the alarm. Firefighters were on scene for about 25 minutes.
