EMS, police respond for reported suicide attempt in Corman’s Crossing

Saturday, May 9, 2015, 2:30 a.m. — Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of man who was attempting suicide at a home in the 100 block of Chesapeake Trail in the Corman’s Crossing subdivision. EMS and police were dispatched to the home at 1:11 a.m. after dispatchers were told the 74-year-old man had cut his wrist and taken an overdose of a prescription medicine commonly used to treat anxiety. The man voluntarily left with EMS, and he was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
