Obituary: Charles Bryson Sams Jr., 80, of Bardstown

Charles Bryson Sams Jr., 80, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at VA Hospital in Louisville. He was born July 25, 1935. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Bryson Sams Sr. and Thelma Sams.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia Sams; one daughter, Stacey Dawn Castello of Bardstown; one son, Dean Allen (Judy) Sams of Bardstown; two granddaughters, Jennifer Estep of Louisville and Nancy Higdon of Waddy.

The funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Bro, Robert Sharp will officiate.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
