JOSEPH LOUIS MATTINGLY

Joseph Louis Mattingly, 76, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, May 1, 2016. at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1940, in Holy Cross to the late Joseph Melvin and Theresa Josephine McIntyre Mattingly. He was a retired brick mason with River City Development in Louisville.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenny and Timbo Mattingly; two brothers, James Carl “Chicken” Mattingly and Earnest Mattingly.

Survivors include his wife, Bardie Mattingly; one daughter, Lana Mattingly of Holy Cross; two sons, Scotty Mattingly of Holy Cross and Eddie Mattingly of Loretto; five sisters, Shirley Norris of Holy Cross, Martha Terry and Melvina Mattingly, both of Bardstown, Linda Stallings of St. Francis and Mary Curtsinger of Louisville; two brothers, David Mattingly (Maxine) of Frankfort and Lawrence Mattingly (Cathy) of Holy Cross; one stepson, Kenneth Holland (Theresa) of Lawrenceburg; a number of grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

The funeral is 4 p.m Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with the Rev. Matt Hardesty officiating. Cremation will follow.

Visitation is noon- 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
