Obituary: James Robert ‘Bob’ Crews, 80, formerly of Marion County

James Robert “Bob” Crews, 80, of Lawrenceburg, a native of Marion County, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Signature Healthcare Center in Lawrenceburg. He was born May 26, 1935, in Marion County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Pomeroy and Iva Followell Crews; one sister, Theresa Marlowe; and three brothers, Marion Leonard “Jake” Crews, Chester Crews and Carl Crews.

He is survived by one daughter, Kim Crews of Lexington; two son, Greg Crews of Lawrenceburg and Steven Crews of Richmond; three grandchildren, Allison Adrian Jarrell, Mikel Christian Crews and Gregory Kyle Crews; two great-grandchildren, Skyler Jarrell and Charlie Jarrell.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Bosley Funeral Home with burial in the Old Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the funeral home.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of the arrangements.
