Social media tips help Bardstown officer locate suspects in Walmart theft

Friday, May 6, 2016 — Two Bardstown residents were charged on theft-related charges Friday following social media tips received by the Bardstown bardstownpolicepatchPolice Department.

On Thursday, May 5, the Bardstown Police Department asked the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a theft at Walmart. Tips received via Facebook helped K-9 Officer Kyler Wright locate Robert Brewer, 42 and Ashley Bronnbauer, 37, both of Bardstown.

Brewer was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, shoplifting under $500, and he also had several outstanding warrants. He was arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail. Bronnbauer was charged for her suspected involvement in the thefts.
