Update: Victim identified in Friday’s fatal crash on BG Parkway

Saturday, May 14, 2016, 11 p.m. — The Kentucky State Police have released the person who died in Friday afternoon’s fatal crash at Exit 21 on the Bluegrass Parkway.
According to KSP, Wanda Dee Craft, 44, of Russell, was eastbound on the parkway when she lost control over the 2006 Chevrolet HHR she was driving and crossed the median into the westbound lanes. Craft’s SUV was struck head-on by a westbound 2012 Kenworth W900 tractor-trailer operated by William D. Learue, 46, of Tennessee.
Craft was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner. League was transported to University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
KSP was assisted on the scene by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson County EMS, and the state highway department.
KSP Trooper/Reconstructionist Brandon Brooks is investigating the crash.
