Obituary: Paul Mitchel ‘Stubby’ McCubbins, 80, Bardstown
Paul Mitchel “Stubby” McCubbins, 80, of Bardstown, died Thursday Oct. 13, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Nelson County. He was a retired employee for Rose Construction and a self-employed farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; and one grandson, Jeremy McCubbins.
He is survived by seven daughters, Theresa Welch of Bardstown, Paula (Wes) Mazur of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Gail (Jerry) Downs of Springfield, Pam McCubbins of Hodgenville, Becky (Glenn) Rogers of New Haven, Gina Gardner of Elk Creek, and April Lawson of Cochran, Ga.; one brother, Jimmy (Mary Agnes) McCubbins of Bardstown; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and his companion, Dorothy Hines of Bardstown.
The funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday Oct. 15, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to donor’s favorite charity.
