Child star impersonator indicted on rape charge by Nelson County grand jury

Thursday, March 2, 2017 — A Bardstown man was indicted Wednesday, March 1, 2017, on a charge of first-degree rape charge by a Nelson County grand jury.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 2, 2107, Nathan Larry Loebe, 36, of Bardstown engaged in sexual intercourse with another person who was incapable of consent because she was physically helpless.

Bond was set at $500,000. Loebe will be arraigned Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Nelson Circuit Court.

BACKGROUND. Loebe was arrested by Bardstown Police following their investigation of a sexual assault on Feb. 5, 2017. Police determined that Loebe, who has addresses from Louisville to Tuscon, Ariz., was also wanted by Louisville Metro Police Department detectives concerning incidents, and also by the Tuscon, Ariz. police investigating 40 cases of stalking, harassment and threats made to women, and nine sexual assaults.

Loebe is also wanted in Colorado, Massachusetts and Ohio in connection with sexual assault investigations in those states.

The investigation revealed that Loebe used personal dating sites to locate some of his victims. he is also know to impersonate “Family Ties” star Brian Bonsall, who played Andrew Keaton on the 1980s television series. Loebe has tattoos that match those displayed by Bonsall. Bonsall, currently touring with a band in Europe, has posted warnings that Loebe is impersonating him in order to meet women.
