County firefighters respond for Louisville Road brush fires

Monday, March 6, 2017, 2 p.m. — The Nelson County Fire Department was sent Sunday evening, March 5, 2017, to the area of Louisville Road and Solitude Road for a report of brush piles on fire. Firefighters were dispatched at about 8:29 p.m. after a passer-by told 911 dispatchers there were approximately four brush piles burning without anyone attending them. Firefighters responded to the area and located the piles and confirmed they were ag-related debris that posed no danger. Responding units were canceled.
