Community news

Sunday, April 16, 2017, 1 p.m. — “They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re altogether ooky!” The Broadway musical sensation The Addams Family will be on stage at Nelson County High School’s Auditorium April 27-30, 2017.

Make plans to attend the show that Bloomberg News declared, “Uproarious! A glitzy-gloomy musical entirely worthy of the macabre drawings by Charles Addams.” From the creators of the Jersey Boys’ Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and Drama Desk Award-winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa, the delightfully mysterious world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley, Itt and Lurch comes to spectacular life in this all new story. The comically morbid family is put to the test when outsiders, the Beineke Family, come to dinner hurling them into a night that will change their lives forever.

Tickets for The Addams Family are $10 adult general admission, $8 for students, seniors and Nelson County Schools employees and are on sale now at http://nchsaddams.bpt.me/. If you would prefer to purchase tickets in person, they are available for purchase at the box office in front of the auditorium beginning one hour before each performance.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday, April, 27, Friday, April 28, and Saturday April 29 with a 2 p.m. performance on Sunday, April 30.
