Obituary: Harold Joseph Scott, 65, Elizabethtown

HAROLD JOSEPH SCOTT

Harold Joseph Scott, 65, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born July 7, 1951, in Bardstown to the late Harold and Anne Elizabeth Lewis Scott. He was an employee of Metalsa in Elizabethtown and a former employee of AT&T and Cissell Manufacturing. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, and was a veteran of the Marine Corps.

He is survived by his common law wife, Michelle Skillman; one daughter, Mieeshia Danielle Sunshine Scott of California; four sons, Sean Linton of Bardstown, Geno Newby of Nashville, Lee Marvin Lewis of Springfield and Brandon Skillman of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Patricia Gales of Louisville and Benita (Greg) Scott-Burch of Lebanon; one brother, John Albert (Ella) Scott of Oklahoma City, Okla.; numerous grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at St. Monica Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Do officiating with cremation to follow.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown with a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
