Obituary: Charles William ‘Bill’ Young, 85, formerly of Springfield

Charles William “Bill” Young, 85, of Lexington, formerly of Springfield, died at 6:18 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Logan Young of Lexington; two sons, Darnell Young of Springfield and David Young of Lexington; two sisters, Catherine McKee and Judy Carter, both of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Springfield with burial in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017, and 7-10:15 a.m. Friday at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield with a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
