City firefighters respond for active fire alarm Sunday at Mammy’s Kitchen

Sunday, May 7, 2017, 2:30 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to Mammy’s Kitchen, 116 West Stephen Foster Ave. for an active fire alarm at about 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Firefighters investigated and determined the smoke in the building was from the fireplace. They used their smoke removal equipment to remove the smoke from the building.
