‘Wickland at Night’ tours set to start for the summer Friday night

Friday, May 19, 2017 — The “spirit” tours of the old Wickland mansion will begin anew this evening as “Wickland at Night” tours with local author and historian, Dixie Hibbs.

Hibbs said guests will hear about the spirits who interacted frequently with visitors through mediums who were part of the original spirit tours at the home for several years.

The original mediums won’t be part of the tours, but guests will enjoy a 90-minute family friendly tour with Hibbs and others. Guests then get an opportunity to use dowsing rods and ask the home’s spirits some “yes” and “no” questions.

Hibbs is the author of “The Spirits of Wickland,” a book that covers Hibbs’ experiences during five years of spirit tours with mediums. The book is available at Wickland,

The tours will begin at 7 p.m. on Fridays, and tickets are $15 per person and available by cash or check. Reservations are recommended by calling Dixie Hibbs, (502) 507-0808.
