Obituary: Wanda Delores Ballard, 73, Greenbrier
WANDA DELORES BALLARD
Wanda Delores Ballard, 73, of Greenbrier, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at her residence. She was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Greenbrier to the late Joseph Hugh and Elizabeth Lorene Greenwell Bartley Sr. She was a graduate of Bethlehem High School and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Lee Bartley and Joseph Hugh “Bucky” Bartley Jr.
She is survived by her husband, William “Billy” Ballard; two daughters, Peggy Ballard of Bardstown and Ginny Clark of Greenbrier; three sons, Jimmy (Pam) Ballard, Travis (Crissy) Ballard and Michael Ballard, all of Greenbrier; three sisters, Betty Ann Thomas of Manton, Nancy Metcalf of Greenbrier and Susie Jefferies of Hodgenville; four brothers, Keith Bartley of Bardstown, Roy Bartley, Danny Bartley and Neale Bartley, all of Greenbrier; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Deacon Arnold Downs officiating. Burial is in St. Thomas Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Nelson County.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Rd., is in charge of arrangements.
