Obituary: Joe Pat Allen, 60, Bardstown
Joe Pat Allen, 60, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at his residence. He was born Nov. 26, 1956, in Bardstown. He retired from NuKote and was a 1975 graduate of Bardstown High School. He was an avid U of L fan and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, C.E. Allen.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Ray Allen; 11 brothers and sisters, William D. Allen, Theresa Slovak, Mary Lane Volatile, Marian Toomey, Tim (Lana) Allen, Renee Nowatka, Mark Allen, Danny (Mona) Allen, Julia Wolf, Jerry (Christina) Allen, and Scott Allen; a best friend, Preston Gilkey, who he loved like a son; and several nieces and nephews.
His memorial service is 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home with Deacon David Farrell officiating.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-4 po.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Joseph Parish.
