EMS responds Thursday for reported West Stephen Foster drug overdose

Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 — The Bardstown Fire Department, Bardstown Police and Nelson County EMS responded Thursday evening for a reported possible drug overdose at an apartment in the 600 block of West Stephen Foster.

First-responders were dispatched to the area for an unresponsive male Thursday at 6:56 p.m. Fire department EMTs located the male subject who was the victim of an apparent heroin overdose at the address. He was treated at the scene by Nelson County EMS and transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital. First responders were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
