Obituary: Glenn Elliott Exum, 70, Elizabethtown

Glenn Elliott Exum, 70, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He was a native of Fulton. He served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer and Public Relations Officer. He retired from Fort Knox Civil Service as a Computer Network Administrator. He was a volunteer for Boy Scouts of America that met at Memorial United Methodist Church, was a member of the American Legion Post #113 and formerly was a member of the EHS Band Boosters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Matthew and Dorothy Elliott Exum and a brother, Jerry Elliott.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Morrison Exum; two sons, Thomas Matthew Exum, II of Louisville and Jonathan Smyth Exum (Jasmine) of Shelbyville; two sisters, Sherry Jeffries of Franklin, N.C. and Pat Ballou of Louisville; and four grandchildren, Connor Exum, Jack Exum, Grace Wilkinson and Melody Wilkinson.

A graveside service is 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with the Rev. Charles Austin officiating.

Visitation is 9 a.m.- noon Thursday at the Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the donor’s favorite charity. The Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.
