CLARA ELIZABETH HUTCHINS
Clara Elizabeth Hutchins, 83, of Loretto, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born March 2, 1934, in Marion County. She was a former homemaker and member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She often volunteered for her church or to help others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Emmett Hutchins (2000), and a number of siblings.
She was survived by one daughter, Julie Miles (Joe) of Botland; one son, Donnie Hutchins of Somerset; three sisters, Theresa Mattingly (Ed) and Helen Osbourne (Johnnie), both of Springfield and Thelma Haggard of Liberty; four grandchildren, Ashley Miles Bartley (Tony), Joshua Miles, Wesley Miles, and Blair Stotts (David); and two great-grandchildren, Gaven Bartley and Evelyn Bartley.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a 7 p.m. prayer service with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are Donnie Hutchins, David Stotts, Joe Miles, Joshua Miles, Leslie Miles and Tony Bartley.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
