Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will honor her veterans during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday, November 12, 2017.

Presentation of Colors by the Nelson County High School Air Force JROTC will begin the service. The congregation will sing the National Anthem followed by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag. Following dismissal of the color guard, poems will be read by youth of the church — Eva Anthony, “Veterans Day” and Chase Watson, “Honor”. Veterans will be introduced by a fellow veteran, Anetta Young. Special recognition will be given to the three church members who are in active duty – Sydney Reid stationed in Kuwait, Michael Morris stationed in Fort Benning, Ga., and Jonathan Anthony, full-time National Guard based in Frankfort.

Following the veterans recognition service, the worship service will include a prospective pastor candidate bringing the message. This candidate will also be preaching during the 6 p.m. Sunday evening worship service. A question and answer session will follow the service.

All are invited to attend these services as well as other activities and services of the church. Sunday Bible study for all age groups is held each week at 9:45 a.m.
