Two adults, one juvenile injured Saturday afternoon in Louisville Road head-on crash

Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 — Three people were serious injured early Saturday afternoon in a head-on collision that happened in the 5200 block of Louisville Road at the Greear Estates subdivision.

At about 12:50 p.m., the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Fire Department were dispatched for a head-on collision with possible entrapment.

EMS treated an injured woman at the scene and transported her to Flaget Memorial Hospital. EMS also transported two other patients, both of which were flown from the Flaget Hospital helipad to Louisville hospitals. One of the injured was a 47-year-old woman who was flown to University Hospital with possible ankle and wrist injuries. The other patient was a juvenile male who was flown to Norton Children’s Hospital.

Accident reconstructionists from the Kentucky State Police were en route at 2 p.m. to investigate the crash scene.
