Bardstown woman dies in Saturday’s Louisville Road head-on crash

Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 — A Bardstown woman died from injuries sustained in Saturday afternoon’s head-on crash that happened in the 5200 block of Louisville Road near Greear Estates subdivision.

Nelson County Coroner Field Houghlin identified the victim as Brandy Terrell, 33, of Bardstown.

At about 12:50 p.m. Saturday, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Fire Department were dispatched for a head-on collision with possible entrapment.

All three victims were treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital. Terrell’s juvenile son was immediately flown on to Norton Children’s Hospital for treatment, while a woman in her 40s was immediately flown on to University Hospital with possible ankle and wrist injuries.

Louisville Road was closed until approximately 5 p.m. while reconstructionist from the Kentucky State Police investigated the accident scene.
