Obituary: Diana Mary Baker, 64, Bardstown

Diana Mary Baker, 64, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at Norton Healthcare in Louisville. She was born March 11, 1953, in Shelburn, Ind., to the late Harold and Virginia Bowen Valley. She was a retired receptionist for the Sisters of Charity Nazareth. She was an avid quilter, loved cats and her grandchildren. She was a member of Wickland Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, David Valley.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil Ray Baker; one daughter, Jennifer Baker of Bardstown; two sons, Michael (Sherry) Baker of Lexington and John Baker of Bardstown; one brother, Glenn (Jackie) Valley of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Jack Baker, Lucy Baker and Magnus Heck.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis King officiating. Burial is in Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, and after 8:30am Saturday at the funeral home.

The family request memorial donations take the form of contributions to Norton Children’s Hospital.

The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
