One injured in multi-vehicle crash on BG bridge over Chaplin River

Monday, March 12, 2018 — One person was injured Monday morning in a three-vehicle accident on the Bluegrass Parkway at the bridge over the Chaplin River at the Nelson-Washington county line.

Nelson County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported there were multiple vehicles off the roadway on both sides of the bridge when they arrived, including a semi tractor-trailer that jackknifed.

A 49-year-old man complaining of back pain was treated at the scene by Nelson County EMS and transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The accident happened at about 8:45 a.m.
