Obituary: Roger Downs, 55, Bardstown

Roger Downs, 55, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1962, in Bardstown. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with family. The was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and St. Thomas Men’s Club.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Downs.

He is survived by his wife, Prudie Downs; two sons, Brandon Downs, Zacary Downs both of Bardstown; his parents, C.A and Dorothy Downs of Bardstown; one sister, Jennifer (Tommy) Berry of Bloomfield; two brothers, Charlie (Kathy) Downs and Scott (Ann) Downs, both of Bardstown; and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, and 8-10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
