Obituary: Joseph Coy ‘Joe C.’ Smith, 73, Bardstown
Joseph Coy “Joe C.” Smith 73, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at his residence. He was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Washington County. He was owner of Joe C. Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Coy Smith Jr.; his parents, Scout and Helen Smith; and one brother, Sandy Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shelby Richardson Smith of Bardstown; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Riggle; two stepdaughters, Jo Ann (Darrell) Keeling and Tracy Lynn (Roy) Keeling; four sisters, Georgia (Joe) Curl, Martha Ann Hardin, Mae (Fred) Greene, and Sarah Just; five brothers, Earl (Judy) Smith, Jim (Ruth) Smith, Roy (Fay) Smith, Dave (Patsy) Smith, and Steve (Rita) Smith; six grandchildren, Clay Chappell, Anna Grace Keeling, Cooper Thomas Keeling, Carson Lee Keeling, Matthew Riggle and Michael Riggle; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Haynes officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
