Letter: Supports Judge Dan Ballou for Kentucky Supreme Court seat

To The Editor:

I would like to take a moment to endorse Judge Dan Ballou for the upcoming Kentucky Supreme Court Justice election.

Three candidates will be on the ballot on May 22. I haven’t a negative word to say about either of Dan’s opponents. To be honest, I like and respect them.

However, I’ve had the pleasure of personally knowing Judge Ballou. He’s not only a friend of mine, but also a friend of the Constitution. He’s a Marine, a family man, and a brother in Christ.

Unfortunately, Kentucky Right to Life neglected to include him on their list of pro-life candidates, but Dan is without any doubt a 100% pro-life conservative–not only in word, but in action. He and his wife Angie chose life, bringing their son Dempsey into the world and caring for him, despite persistent health challenges for which doctors encouraged abortion. But to Dan and Angie, abortion was not an option.

Most importantly, I trust Dan.

Dan is guided by his faith and our founding documents. He applies the law equally and fairly serving as a Circuit Judge, and I’m sure he would do the same as a KY Supreme Court Justice.
