Obituary: Gary Lynn Miracle, 65, Cox’s Creek

GARY LYNN MIRACLE

Gary Lynn Miracle, 65, of Cox’s Creek, died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Norton Hosparus in Louisville. He was born July 22, 1952, in Pineville to the late Chester and Faye Creech Miracle. He was a teacher for the Jefferson County Board of Education and a former teacher with the Nelson County School Board where he was also a former member of the board of education. He was a former soccer referee and made it to a state finals game. He was a member of Cox’s Creek Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and choir member. He had a love of gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jean “Patti” Cornelius Miracle; and one brother, Ronnie Miracle.

He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Mallard of Cox’s Creek; one son, Seth Miracle of Louisville; one brother, Larry Miracle of Cox’s Creek; and two grandchildren, Teagan Mallard and Kellan Mallard.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Bratcher officiating. Burial is in the Cox’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018, and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Cox’s Creek Building Fund.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
