Obituary: Helen Louise Brown, 77, Hardinsburg

Helen Louise Brown, 77, of Hardinsburg, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was born in McQuady on July 1, 1940, the daughter of the late William and Sudie Rusher Morris. She was a retired cook who worked at Cova’s Kirv In for several years. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, family time and card games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Brown; and two sisters, Georgie Williams and Dorothy Weatherford.

She is survived by three children, Terry Grandfield of Statesville, N.C., Steven Grandfield of Hardinsburg, and Dawn Fuqua (Scott) of Guston; three sisters, Alice Morris, Jenny Stilwell and Jean Brown, all of Hardinsburg; three brothers, Julius Morris of McDaniels, Bobby Morris of Balltown, and Danny Morris of Maine; and six grandchildren, Terry Grandfield Jr, Tyler Grandfield, Dustin Sanders, Brandon Fuqua, Emily Fuqua and Willow Ray Aileen Parker.

The funeral is noon Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to the Louise Brown Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
