Three suffer injuries in serious crash on US150 east of Parkway Drive

Saturday, June 16, 2018 — At least three people were seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a two vehicle crash involving SUVs on Springfield Road near Bardstown Auto Wreckers.

At 2:27 p.m., police, Nelson County EMS, and the Nelson County Fire Departments were dispatched to Springfield Road for an injury accident with possible entrapment of three victims.

First responders arrived and immediately requested two medical helicopters respond to transport the most severely injured victims. Two victims were flown to Louisville hospitals from the scene, while a third patient was transported to University Hospital by Nelson County EMS.

The Nelson County Fire Department was assisted by members of the Bardstown Fire Department.

The accident slowed traffic on US150 for about an hour while first responders worked the accident scene.
