Obituary: Ronald T. ‘Tommy’ Miller, 69, Hardinsburg

RONALD T. “TOMMY” MILLER

Ronald T. “Tommy” Miller, 69, of Hardinsburg, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. He was born in Hardinsburg on June 23, 1949, the son of the late Carl Thomas and Imogene Fentress Miller. He was an independent insurance agent and farmer. He was a faithful member of Restoration Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was adored by his family. He enjoyed watching and participating in tractor pulls and won several trophies. He was quite the storyteller and shared many memories of “Miller Hill”. At an older age, he completed college and graduated with his daughter, Chrisney. He taught biology and chemistry for several years in Louisville before returning to Breckinridge County. He was a motivator and according to his family, he could motivate you whether you wanted him to or not. He was very persistant in all he did and above all – he never gave up.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Taul Miller of Hardinsburg; two daughters, Chrisney Bush (Mike) and Amanda Benzel (Stephen) both of Louisville; two sons, Kent Miller (Kelly) of Hardinsburg and Derek Miller (Tracy) of Lanesville, Ind.; one sister, Linda McCloskey (Bill) of Bardstown; 13 grandchildren, Kayla Lancaster (Preston), Korey Miller, Kendall Miller, Kolton Miller, Austin Miller, Rachel Miller, Brenna Miller, Trevor Miller, Mike Bush Jr., Samuel Bush, AnnaKate Bush, Helen Benzel and Nicholas Benzel; and one great-granddaughter, Kynlee Lancaster.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Central time Saturday, July 14, 2018, t Restorations Church in Hardinsburg. Burial is in the New Clover Creek Cemetery near Hardinsburg.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Central time Friday, July 13, 2018, at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg and after 9 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the church.

The Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg is in charge of arrangements.
