Obituary: Bobby Joe ‘B.J.’ Price, 38, Hodgenville

Bobby Joe “B.J.” Price, 38, of Hodgenville, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was a 1998 graduate of LaRue County High School and a lifelong resident of Hodgenville. He formerly worked at Vivian’s Plant Farm and then Hodgenville McDonald’s before becoming disabled due to multiple health issues. He loved making music and was a member of several bands including Super 69, Netjer, XL, No Regrets For The Hopeful and Midnight Runaways.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Lee Price; and his maternal grandmother, Ruby Hoback.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Price; his mother, Carolyn Sue Sallee Price of Hodgenville; his father, Bobby (Mary Alice) Price of Magnolia; one sister, Krystal Dawn Price of Hodgenville; one brother, Erik Brandon Price of Hodgenville; his paternal grandmother, Mary E. Price of Hodgenville; one nephew, Enrique Price; three aunts, Linda (Danny) Grim of Texas, Susan (Jackie) Skaggs of Hodgenville and Jennie (Jimmy) Newton of New Haven; and cousins, Robbie Howell, David Howell and Chris Howell all of Texas; Shelly Vaal of Indiana, Jesse Skaggs of Hodgenville and Luke Newton, Casey Newton, Michael Newton, Jennifer Newton and Bobby Newton, all of New Haven.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Pastor Bob Daughtery officiating. Burial is in Red Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, and after noon Saturday at the funeral home. In B.J.’s honor, please wear a KISS shirt or your favorite concert shirt.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to help with funeral and medical expenses and may be made at the funeral home.

The Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville is in charge of arrangements.
