Obituary: Goebel Randall Morgeson, 86, Lebanon

Goebel Randall Morgeson, 86, of Lebanon, died Thursday, July 12, 2018. He was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Marion County. He was retired from the Marion County Board of Education in which he drove a bus for 30 years. He was also a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Goebel “Boss” and Cozy Gribbins Morgeson; two sisters, Evelyn Raley (Ben) and Virginia Riley (Jessie); and four brothers, James Morgeson (Mary), Donald Morgeson (Mildred), L.J. Morgeson (Dorothy), and Gerald Morgeson (Eulene).

Survivors include his wife, Mae Knopp Morgeson of Lebanon; two sons, Jimmy Morgeson (Carolyn) of Lebanon and Lanny Morgeson (Sheila) of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, Tara Morgeson, Dennis Morgeson, Jamie Smothers, Joe Morgeson, Daphni Price, and Rodney Morgeson; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Bosley Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. prayer service with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
