Two teens injured in single-vehicle rollover crash on Lawrenceburg Road

Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 — Two teenagers were injured Friday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Lawrenceburg Road near its intersection with Murphy Lane.

At 6:23 p.m., Nelson County EMS, the Northeast Nelson Fire Department and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 4000 block of Lawrenceburg Road for a single-vehicle rollover crash with entrapment.

Firefighters were the first on the scene and worked to extricate the victims from their vehicle. Nelson County EMS treated the victims at the scene, and then each were flown by medical helicopter directly from the crash scene to Louisville hospitals. The older teen was taken to University Hospital, while the younger teen was flown to Norton Children’s Hospital.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident.
