Two suffer serious injuries Wednesday in single vehicle Nat Rogers Road crash

Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 — Two people were seriously injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle accident after their vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree in the 5000 block of Nat Rogers Road.

At about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Rolling Fork Fire Department, Nelson County EMS and the sheriff’s office responded to a report of an injury accident with two people trapped in a 2005 Pontiac Vibe.

According to a sheriff’s office press release, the vehicle had been traveling westbound on Nat Rogers Road when the driver lost control in a curve before striking a tree with the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The driver was identified as Daryl Tinnell-Hutchins, 32, of Boston. Her passenger was Thomas D. Hutchins, 45, of Boston. The victims were treated by EMS at the scene before both were flown from the scene to University Hospital in Louisville for treatment of their injuries. According to police, both victims were listed in critical condition at University Hospital.
