CHRISTOPHER LITTLE

According to Kentucky State Police, the Post in Elizabethtown received a call at 11:52 a.m. Friday that her husband shot a man who had broken into their home. After an investigation, detectives determined Little was shot after he forcefully gained entry into the home occupied by an elderly couple.

After Little was shot, he was flown from the scene to University Hospital in Louisville for treatment. KSP believes Little may also be responsible fo other burglaries in the area, and additional charges are pending. Little remains in the hospital.

In January 2015, Little was arrested following an incident at Hurst Drug Store in Bardstown. While being questioned by Bardstown Police Officer Nick Houck, Little fled on foot. Then-Mayor John Royalty was driving by and saw the pursuit. Royalty left his vehicle and helped police take Little into custody.

The investigation is ongoing by KSP investigators.
