Lux Row Distillers to launch barrel strength special edition Old Ezra brand

Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 –– Bardstown’s Lux Row Distillers will lauch a special barrel-strength version of its Ezra Brooks brand Kentucky Bourbon this fall.

The new seven-year-old Old Ezra Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey is bottled at barrel strength of 117 proof.

According to a company press release, the barrel strength bottling “allows the bourbon to develop bold, intense flavors with the perfect balance of oak, caramel, cinnamon and pepper, with a long, warm finish.”

The special release is accompanied by a custom bottle and premium packaging.

“Whiskey continues to experience strong growth – domestic whiskey is up 4.6 percent. Old Ezra has been well-received with premium bourbon drinkers who enjoy a more full-bodied flavor and higher proof,” according to Lux Row’s brand manager, Fletcher Buchman.
