Bardstown City Council approves 20 Historic Review Board recommendations

Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 –– The Bardstown City Council Tuesday approved 20 recommendations by the Historical Review Board for approval of Conditional Use Permits from properties in the city’s historic district.

The council approved the following recommendations (from the HRB’s Sept. 18, 2018 meeting) which included:

COA-18-145. John Ballard, applicant/owner. Approval to install a fence at 210 East Flaget Ave.

COA-18-141-144. Kelsie Hamilton, applicant/owner. Approval to add landscaping and trees; remove and replace a patio; install a fence and gates; and repair a side porch on the home at 218 East Stephen foster Ave with conditions.

COA-18-132-139. Don Mudd, applicant/owner. Approval to: add shutters; change the color of the building; add awnings; add exterior lights; replace the gutters; add planter boxes; replace the roof; and add headers to the windows on the building at 303 North Third St.

COA-18-125-129, 131, 140 and 146. Joe and Caitlin Ballard, applicants/owners. Approval to add window boxes; remove and replace windows; replace a light fixture; replace the shutter doors; add a screened-in porch once approved by Planning and Zoning; change the paint colors; and remove and replace a tree in the backyard of the home at 204 East Stephen Foster Ave.
