Obituary: Garland Randall Skaggs, 70, Campbellsville

GARLAND RANDALL SKAGGS

Garland Randall Skaggs, 70, of Campbellsville, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at University of Louisville Hospital. He served as a Staff Sargent for the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a retired photo lab supervisor at Fort Knox, a former employee for Lowe’s in Elizabethtown and Taylor County High School, and a member of Levelwoods United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Hallie Skaggs; three brothers, Herbert Skaggs, Verner Skaggs and Harry Skaggs; and a special uncle Ralph Skaggs.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Brewer Skaggs; three daughters, Yvonne (John) Fay of Hodgenville, Yvette (Danny) Martin of Cox’s Creek and Tracey (Tyler) Phillips of Campbellsville;
two sisters, Thelma Jean Nelson of Buffalo and Lorene (Darrell) Davidson of Spring Hill Tennessee; and six grandchildren, John Dalton Fay, Chazilyn Milby, Mason Garland Fay, China Hallie Martin, Nova Deanna Fay and Patrick Jonah Martin.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro Gary Chesser officiating. Burial is in Levelwoods Cemetery in Campbellsville.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at the funeral home.

The Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville is in charge of arrangements.
