Bardstown teen identified as victim in Wednesday night’s fatal Stoner Road crash

Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 — The victim in Wednesday night’s fatal single-vehicle crash has been identified as Braden Karr, 19, of Bardstown.

According to a press release from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Karr was driving a 2014 Chrysler 300 in the 400 block of Stoner Road when the car left the road and struck a tree.

One of Karr’s rear-seat passengers, Isaac Goff, 18, of Bardstown, suffered multiple injuries to his leg and head. He was treated by Nelson County EMS at the scene and then flown by helicopter directly to University Hospital in Louisville.

Two other passengers, Christian Cahoe, 18, of Bardstown and Lucas Bradshaw, 19, of Cox’s Creek, suffered minor injuries. They were both treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital.

Police said there was no evidence that alcohol was involved or a contributing factor in the crash.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by Bardstown Fire & Rescue, Nelson County EMS, and the Nelson County Coroner.

The accident remains under investigation by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.
