Obituary: Weldon Gayle Gray Jr., 62, New Haven

Weldon Gayle Gray Jr., 62, of New Haven, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. He was a native of Odessa, Texas and was a color stripper for a printing company. He loved the outdoors which included camping, fishing, and surfing. His nickname from surfing was Zeke. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband and a great big brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon Gayle Gray Sr. and Marjorie Nell Hughes Gray; his brother-in-law, C. Roy Steingrube II; and two sisters-in-law, Patricia Montana and Marlene Wiggington.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie K. Gray; two sisters, Brenda Scoggins of Midland, Texas, and Lesa Steingrube of Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at the Brown Funeral Home with Steven Scoggins officiating.

Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
