North Third Street WesBanco branch robbed for second time in three weeks

Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 — The North Third Street WesBanco bank branch was robbed Friday morning for a second time — three weeks after it was robbed on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.

The suspect was reported to be a black man who arrived at the bank on a bicycle not long after it opened. He demanded money and then fled the area on foot. Video showed the man leaving the area in the North Second and Beall Street area.

Police are questioning a person of interest in the case. It is unknown if the man showed a weapon or how much cash — if any — he took from the bank.
