Bardstown Kiwanis Club announce Christmas parade judging results

Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 — The trophy for the best overall float in Thursday’s 2018 Bardstown Kiwanis Club “200 Years of Christmas” Christmas parade was the entry by Wee Care Learning Center.

Floats were divided into categories that included business, non-profit or school, and judged on a variety of factors that included: parade theme interpretation; quality of workmanship; originality; and “wow factor.”

The six winners of the categories include:

Business 1st place – Mackins – People Ready
Business 2nd place – Lowe’s

Non-profit 1st place – Team Crystal
Non-profit 2nd place – Cub Scout Troop 142

School 1st place – Boston School
School 2nd place – New Haven School

The six winners will receive plaques, and the overall winner will get to keep the traveling trophy for the next year. Plaques and the trophy can be picked up at WBRT studios, 106 S. Third St. in Bardstown.
