Flaget Birth Center welcomes the New Year’s first baby

Jaxtyn McMakin was born at 11:07 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019 to Megan McMakin at Flaget Memorial Hospital.

Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 — Flaget Memorial Hospital welcomed the hospital’s first-born baby of the New Year this past Thursday morning at 11:07 a.m.

Megan McMakin welcomed her new son, Jaxtyn McMakin, who was born at 11:07 a.m. Thursday. He weighed 7 lbs. and 6 oz. and was 19 inches long.

Flaget Memorial Hospital is a 52-bed facility that provides care for patients in Nelson, Hardin, Marion, Washington, Spencer, Bullitt and LaRue counties. The award-winning hospital was founded in 1951 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
